Materials List
- Sport or light weight #2 or #3 cotton yarn. I used:
- Hobbii
Rainbow 8/4 in colors #25 and #67 from Hobbii.com - Click Here for other sport weight cotton yarns.
You can also use:

Stiches Used and Abbreviations
Ch= chain
SC = single crochet
Sl St = slip stitch
Ch Sp = chain space
St(s) = stitch(es)
Special Stitch: BCh = beaded chain: Pull a bead down your yarn all the way to your hook. Make a chain around the bead and pull tight.
Instructions
Begin: Measure your wrist or ankle. For the wrist leave a little room for buttoning. For ankle, measure just below your ankle bone.
1 Color: If working with just one color, load your beads onto your yarn using a yarn needle. Anklet will need 13-16 beads. Bracelet will need 9-11 beads. Load on the max. Any extra will just come off later when you cut the yarn.
2 Color: If working with 2 colors, wait to load your beads onto the second color.
Button : (Optional) You can load on the button onto your yarn ahead of time. Push it far down the yarn and thread it a second time leaving a loop under the button. (SEE VIDEO TUTORIAL)
Row 1: Ch the length of your measurement. Your chain count needs to be multiples of 3 plus 2.
(Your count will be unique to your measurements but for an example, my bracelet started with 32 chains. My anklet started with 44 chains. In the pattern below I will use my anklet count as an example for you.)
Pull Button all the way down very close to the loop on your hook leaving small loop under the button. Pull small loop under button thru the loop on your hook and pull snug. (If sewing on later, ignore this.) (SEE VIDEO TUTORIAL for more help)
Row 2: Sc in back bump of second chain from the hook and each chain to last 2 sts. Sk the 2nd to last ch, Ch1, sc in last st. ( the chain 1 space is your button hole) (going into the back bump makes a prettier finish than going into the V – threads.)
LOAD BEADS on 2nd Color – if working with 2 colors. Then add in your 2nd color to the last sc from row 2. (SEE VIDEO TUTORIAL for more help)
Row 3: With 2nd color or 1 color: Ch1, SC in 1st st and each st across including the chain space. Your st count should be your starting chain amount minus 1. So my anklet started with 44 chains. I had 43 sc sts.
Row 4: Ch1, SC in 1st st, *[Ch2, BCh1 (beaded chain), Ch2, sk 2 sts, SC in next st]*
Repeat * to * all the way to the end. Cut yarn leaving a 4-5 inch tail. Pull yarn through loop on hook.
Finishing: Sew in ends on wrong side. Sew on button if you didn’t add it already.
Bracelet Tip: Before putting on bracelet for 1st time, loosen up the button hole by putting the button through a couple times. It will be easier to put it on with one hand then. Enjoy!
