Materials
Yarn: 1 skein Stitch Studio by Nicole “Paint Brush” in colorway “Artist’s Garden” (For sale at A.C. Moore) unfortunately you can’t buy this online. You have to go to the store to purchase it. But that’s fun too!)
Hook: 15 mm (P/Q)
Abbreviations
FSC= foundation single crochet. If you prefer, you can instead chain and then single crochet across.
Ch= chain
sc = single crochet
sk st = skip stitch
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
Pattern
R1 – FSC 61 sts. Turn.
R2 – Ch1, sc across. Turn.
R3 – Ch1, sc across. Turn.
R4 – Ch4, sk 3 sts, sc in 4th st, *Ch3, sk 3 sts, sc in next st* Repeat * to * . Turn
R5 – Repeat R4
R6 – Repeat R4
R7 – Sl st across chain 3 and sl st into next sc,
Ch4, sk 3 sts, sc in 4th st, *Ch3, sk 3 sts, sc in next st* Repeat * to * until 2nd to last sc. Turn
R8 – R9 Repeat R4
Keep working in this pattern, decreasing by one “chain-3 section” on each end after every 3 rows.
When you are down to one “chain-3 section” only work that row one time.
Add tassles onto each decrease corner.
Add a braid at each end of the long edge of the scarf. (see picture below)
